The Manuka Doctor 1100 MGO Manuka Honey is exceptionally rare and exquisitely pure Manuka Honey. What makes it so rare, the spring and summer weather conditions for Manuka bush bloom must be perfect in New Zealand, this generates a high quality bloom with strong pollen content. Our bee’s forage on these bushes, carrying the pollen back to the hive.
Manuka honey is made by bees gathering pollen from the Manuka Bush (Leptospermum Scoparium) which is native to New Zealand. Monofloral Manuka honey has nectar predominantly from the Manuka Bush and lower levels of nectar from other species. Thus giving the Max Strength Manuka honey a higher concentration of Manuka Nectar. The MGO (Methylglyoxal) rating in Manuka Honey is derived from DHA which is naturally present in the nectar of the Manuka Bush. Within the hive, DHA undergoes the Maillard reaction to form MGO. Manuka Doctor Manuka honey MGO levels are validated by independent labs in New Zealand and the UK. Certified to have the highest quality and MGO levels which in turn provides anti-microbial properties.
This extremely high-grade Manuka honey is part of the Manuka Doctor Max Strength range, classified as Monofloral by the New Zealand Government – the highest standard, tested and guaranteed.
Manuka Doctor is a specialist in high quality New Zealand harvested Manuka honey, guaranteed from Hive to Home.
