Holland & Barrett Pure Cod Liver Oil Capsules contain EPA and DHA which are essential Omega 3 fatty acids, as well as vitamins A and D. Both vitamins A and D contribute to normal immune system function. Vitamin A also contributes to the maintenance of normal skin, whilst Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and muscle function. EPA and DHA are essential Omega-3 fatty acids which are commonly found in fish oils. DHA supports the maintenance of vision and normal brain function, and the beneficial effect can be obtained with a daily intake of 250mg of DHA. 250mg of DHA and EPA also contribute to normal heart function. The NHS recommends that you consume at least 2 portions of fish per week, including one oily fish portion. If your diet does not regularly consist of this, you may wish to consider a supplement.
